REPLAYD

Changelog

What changed, newest first.

0.8.66

28 August 2026

  • When a video preset is used by both Replay and Recording, changing a setting in one now shows the same change in the other straight away. The setting was already applied to both; only the value on screen lagged behind, which made the change look ignored.

0.8.65

28 August 2026

  • Uninstalling clears the record of which build wrote your settings, so going back to an older version leaves them usable rather than read-only. Every actual setting is left alone.

0.8.64

28 August 2026

  • Settings now record which REPLAYD wrote them, and an older build refuses to save over settings a newer one wrote — rather than quietly dropping the ones it has never heard of.
  • It says so at startup, in a notification and in the log: settings that silently stop saving look no different from broken ones.
  • The settings are still read, so going back a version costs you changing them, not the settings themselves.

0.8.63

28 August 2026

  • The key that signs releases is kept encrypted rather than sitting on disk in the clear.

0.8.62

28 August 2026

  • Build and test fixes only — nothing that changes how REPLAYD behaves.

0.8.61

28 August 2026

  • Setup refuses to install an older build over a newer one, and says to uninstall first if that is really what you want. Reinstalling the same version still works as a repair.
  • Groundwork for signed updates: releases are signed offline and the app can check a signature, though nothing looks for updates yet.

0.8.60

28 August 2026

  • Deleting a profile deletes it for good, rather than the file coming back.
  • Replay can edit a preset it shares with recording.

0.8.59

28 August 2026

  • Profiles for a whole configuration, and presets for the video settings.
  • One button to create them, and "Scale down to" removed.
  • The options window opens on its own, without the main window behind it.
  • Start a replay or a recording with settings chosen for that run.
  • Save a replay out of a recording already in progress.
  • Open the options window from a hotkey.
  • Clearer wording throughout the window.
