Withdrawal and refunds

Try before you pay

Every subscription is preceded by a 30-day free trial that asks for no payment details. The trial exists so that the decision to subscribe is made after using the software, not before. Please use it for that.

The statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, Directive 2011/83/EU and its national transpositions give you the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving a reason.

That right has an exception for digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, such as software you download. It no longer applies once supply has begun, where you gave your express consent at checkout for supply to begin within the withdrawal period, acknowledged that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal, and received confirmation of both by email. REPLAYD is software supplied by download, and your license begins the moment the payment goes through. The checkout asks for that consent. Where you have given it, no right of withdrawal applies to the payment.

Where a right of withdrawal does apply and you exercise it, the payment concerned is refunded in full.

Renewals

Renewal of an existing subscription is not the conclusion of a new contract and does not open a new withdrawal period. To avoid being charged for a further period, cancel before the renewal date. Canceling is free at any time, and access continues to the end of the period already paid for.

Faults

None of the above affects your statutory rights where the software does not conform to the contract. Those rights, to have the fault remedied, to a price reduction, or to terminate, remain in full, under Directive 2019/770 and its national transpositions.

Exercising a right

Purchases are made through Paddle, the merchant of record and the seller for the transaction, and Paddle's buyer terms apply. A request to withdraw, or a refund claim on any other ground, is made to Paddle: reply to your Paddle receipt email, or use paddle.net with the email you purchased with. You may also write to [email protected], and the request will be passed to Paddle.

Where a refund is due, it is returned to the original payment method. The time that takes is determined by the payment provider.
